 Booking Conditions

"The booking" or "the reservation" refers to part or all of the travel arrangements for transportation, accommodation, sightseeing and other linked travel services made on behalf of a Client with the suppliers, and excludes services of a peripheral nature;

The client who signifies his acceptance of a booking does so, on behalf of himself and persons under his authority which means that all are bound by the booking conditions as if they had individually made the application themselves. All bookings are made with KAJUMBA TRAVEL (Pty) Ltd and no person has any authority on its behalf to vary any of the terms and conditions which are applicable.

In the event of there being an unscheduled extension to the booking caused by flight delay, bad weather, strike or any other cause that is beyond the control of KAJUMBA TRAVEL (Pty) Ltd, it is understood that expenses relating to such unscheduled extensions (e.g. hotel accommodation) will be for your account.

In the event that any supplier is unable to provide the service booked on your behalf, KAJUMBA TRAVEL (Pty) Ltd will endeavour to offer you alternative arrangements of similar classification and in the same area, wherever possible. Should you be unwilling or unable to accept the alternative arrangements offered by KAJUMBA TRAVEL (Pty) Ltd, any refunds to which you may be entitled are subject to the terms and conditions of the relevant supplier? Any refund in respect of any commission paid or payable to KAJUMBA TRAVEL (Pty) Ltd shall be at the sole discretion of KAJUMBA TRAVEL (Pty) Ltd;

Payments and Deposit

Full payment is due at time of confirmation when the booking value is less than R10 000.00 and when the arrival time is in less than 6 weeks.  All other bookings require deposit payment equal to 30% of the quoted booking price within 48 hours of KAJUMBA TRAVEL (Pty) Ltd sending the client the booking confirmation. No verbal confirmations will be accepted. Confirmation will only be sent in writing. Any such deposit is non refundable; The deposit constitutes part of the booking conditions and KAJUMBA TRAVEL (Pty) Ltd reserves the right, without prejudice to any other rights that it may have, to cancel any booking in the event of the deposit or any part thereof not being received by the due date specified therefore;

Bookings shall be considered full and paid up once a final invoice has been issued and paid within 48 hours of the issuing of such an invoice. Should the invoice not be paid within this time, KAJUMBA TRAVEL (Pty) Ltd reserves the right to re-issue the invoice should there be an increase in foreign exchange rates, airline rates or any other related cost. Final invoicing is based upon the confirmation price, less any deposit paid. Should a client elect to pay the deposit and pay the balance due within six weeks of departure date, the client fully understands that the price may increase due to foreign exchange fluctuations, airline rate increases or any other related cost and that the client will be responsible for the incremental costs.

The full amount due by the client to KAJUMBA TRAVEL (Pty) Ltd shall be payable not less than six weeks prior to the date of departure. If the full amount is not paid in due time, KAJUMBA TRAVEL (Pty) Ltd reserves the right to treat the booking as cancelled. Bookings made within six weeks of the departure date must be paid in full immediately. Failure to make final payment on the confirmed due date will lead to cancellation of booked services and the loss of all monies paid to date. Should the client amend his booking at any stage, either in the form of a date change, itinerary amendment or any other change whatsoever, KAJUMBA TRAVEL (Pty) Ltd reserves the right to charge an amendment fee of R250 per person.

Payments are processed with Visa Cards, Master Cards, American Express Cards and Diner Club Cards. Payments can also be paid directly into KAJUMBA TRAVEL (Pty) Ltd account.
