Introduction

Singita Sweni Lodge was wholly inspired by the immense African sky, and takes inspiration from the earth. Singita Sweni Lodge is situated on the edge of the Sweni River in the Lebombo concession, providing a forested haven far from the noise of the world. Expressing a distinctly African style, Sweni is a combination of dark wood, infused by the colours of the earth… including deep greens and multi-shades of avocado. This lodge boasts six luxurious suites that offer the ultimate luxury in a wild setting that offers time for reflection in the shade of its many trees. The essence of Sweni is elaborate simplicity, dictated to by the Singita philosophy of ‘touching the earth lightly’ – therefore every effort is made to preserve and celebrate this beautiful environment.

The Kruger National Park is one of the most famous game reserves in the world, renowned for its abundant wildlife and incredible diversity of landscape. Located in the Kruger National Park’s southeast region, on the border with Mozambique, the Lebombo concession is one of the most pristine wild territories in Africa. The majestic Lebombo mountain range runs diagonally across the expanse of the concession, intertwined with the N’wanetsi and Sweni Rivers. Rangers attest to the fact that this region boasts a greater density of wildlife than anywhere else on the continent. In terms of scenic beauty and diversity, the Lebombo region is no doubt one of the most exceptional regions of the Kruger National Park.
