Introduction

Mala Mala Game Reserve is situated in the eastern part of South Africa in the province of Mpumalanga. It shares a common border of 19km / 12 miles with the Kruger National Park and is part of a conservation gene pool that covers 5.5 million acres of land in the heart of the South African Lowveld. This low lying region of flat bush country contains habitat types ranging from riverine thicket to open savannah. Because of its latitude and elevation, malarial mosquitoes and tsetse flies kept man and his domesticated beasts at bay for centuries, allowing nature to flourish undisturbed.Tsetse flies are no longer prevalent within this region and malarial prophylaxis has now opened this area up for man to enjoy. Today this area is known to have the greatest diversification of animal species on the African continent. Over two hundred different species occur in abundance whilst the ever changing bird life provides even the most experienced ornithologist with rare finds.

Situated at the southern end of the Mala Mala Camp in a prime elevated position overlooking the Sand River and surrounding bush, the Mala Mala Sable Camp is an ideal retreat for the more reclusive traveller who prefers privacy and exclusivity. The Mala Mala Sable Camp accommodates 14 guests in 5 luxury suites and the Lions Den - a 2 bedroomed, spacious luxury suite with magnificent views, accommodation 4 guests. The fully air-conditioned, beautifully appointed Mala Mala Sable Camp has a truly colonial feel enhanced with modern comforts. A dedicated team of staff are on hand to make sure that every need of our discerning guests is taken care of, whilst our highly qualified rangers and trackers continue to present close contact viewing in the diverse wilderness that is Mala Mala Game Reserve.

The Mala Mala Sable Camp does not accommodate children under the age of 12, unless the entire camp is reserved exclusively at the respective charge.
